Devolver Digital weighs in on Lets Plays

Ever since Nintendo claimed third party ownership of Lets Play of its games there has been a debate going around concerning the grey area in the law when it comes to the monetization and ownership of Lets Plays. Me personally I’m in the camp of “let the courts sort it out, hopefully on the side of the consumer, but if not there’s not much you can do at this point.” Truth be told the entire Copyrights section of the law needs to be rewritten but that’s not a discussion for this post. What is, is the fact that Devolver Digital, publisher of games such as Serious Sam, Hotline Miami, and Shadow Warrior, has weighed in the matter.
